At the session of the Public Administration Reform Council, it was announced: Montenegro received 3.4 million euros from the European Union support program

At the ninth session of the Public Administration Reform Council, chaired by Minister of Public Administration Mr. Marash Dukaj, key activities marking the final phase of public administration reform and Montenegro's obligations in the EU accession process were discussed. Opening the session, Minister Dukaj announced that Montenegro received approximately 3.4 million euros today from the EU Sectoral Budget Support Program for public administration reform and public finance management. He emphasized that strengthening administrative capacities, professionalization of the civil service, improving efficiency and accountability of institutions, and developing higher quality services for citizens and businesses are fundamental for the successful implementation of EU legal acquis and reform policies. Their implementation will be a key factor considered by the European Commission when assessing progress in public administration reform and meeting the final criteria for Chapter 23. Council members also discussed the draft Roadmap for the modernization of the public sector salary system, an important step toward establishing a fairer, more sustainable, and transparent salary system in line with best European practices. Concluding the session, Council President and Minister Dukaj thanked members for their constructive discussion and emphasized that the Government of Montenegro will continue to vigorously implement public administration reform, strengthen inter-institutional coordination, and fulfill obligations from the European agenda.
