Cybersecurity Month Epicenter - Conference “CyberChess 2026”

The conference will gather cybersecurity technical, political, and military experts, internet and telecommunications service providers, domain registry representatives, and other industry professionals from Latvia and abroad. The main thematic areas of the conference program will cover the role of artificial intelligence in cybersecurity — from its use in attacks to AI-based defense solutions, cyber threat intelligence (CTI), vulnerability research, practical cyber defense methods, big data analytics, infrastructure transparency, cyber-physical systems and their physical security, as well as DNS protection and management. The main plenary session will focus on strategic and political cybersecurity issues at the national and European levels, while three thematic stages will operate in parallel: #CyberStory with practical experience stories and industry updates, #CyberShock with in-depth technical presentations and practical demonstrations, and #BalticDomainDays dedicated to DNS security, internet governance, and domain ecosystem development. On the second day, Sébastien Garnault, founder and president of the Paris Cyber Summit, will speak about European cybersecurity in the new geopolitical reality — digital sovereignty, technological dependence, challenges posed by Russia and China, and the impact of artificial intelligence on the security environment. An international panel discussion with experts from NATO, Canada, and Europe will analyze situations where a compromised organization, provider, cloud service provider, or critical infrastructure component can trigger chain reactions beyond organizational and national borders, and discuss preparedness for such high-impact incidents. The conference is organized by CERT.LV, the Ministry of Defence of the Republic of Latvia, the National Cybersecurity Center, and the highest-level .lv domain registrar (NIC) in collaboration with ISACA Latvia chapter, the Latvian Internet Association, the University of Latvia Mathematics and Information Institute, and the highest-level domain registries .ee (Estonian Internet Foundation) and .lt (DOMREG).
