Driver's Appeal
Due to worsening weather conditions, rain, wet and slippery roads, the Police Department appeals to all traffic participants to adjust their driving to road conditions and exercise extra caution. We call on drivers to respect speed limits, adapt their driving to road conditions and reduced visibility, maintain safe distances between vehicles, avoid risky overtaking, and pay special attention to pedestrians, cyclists, and other vulnerable traffic participants who are harder to see due to rain and decreased visibility. At the same time, we remind all traffic participants of the obligation to consistently obey traffic signals and police instructions, and recommend avoiding travel during periods of heaviest rainfall if not necessary. Police officers will undertake increased traffic control activities across the entire country to ensure the safety of all road users.
