Border Police Detain Turkish Citizen Convicted of Sexual Abuse of Minor
Officials of the Regional Border Police Center "Center" detained a Turkish citizen at the Podgorica Airport border crossing, who was wanted internationally by NCB Interpol Ankara for committing the criminal offense of sexual abuse of a minor. The individual, 28 years old from Izmir, Turkey, was found to have an international arrest warrant issued by Turkey for serving a prison sentence of one year, 11 months, and 10 days for the criminal offense of sexual abuse of a minor under Turkish Criminal Law. He was brought before an investigating judge of the Higher Court in Podgorica, who ordered his extradition detention. Further communication between NCB Interpol Podgorica and NCB Interpol Ankara is underway regarding the extradition of the convicted person.
