Guide to Transposing, Adopting and Implementing European Union Regulations into Montenegrin Legislation

The Ministry of European Affairs, in cooperation with the EU-funded project “Policy and Legal Advice Centre for Montenegro” (PLAC), has prepared the “Guide to Transposing, Adopting and Implementing European Union Regulations into Montenegrin Legislation.” The guide is primarily intended for ministries and government institutions responsible for preparing and drafting laws and by-laws. Its main purpose is to provide an expert and practical framework for drafting legislation that enables Montenegro to fulfil its obligations arising from European Union legislation. At the same time, the guide provides guidance for continuing the alignment process after Montenegro joins the EU, including monitoring, applying and updating national legislation in line with developments in the EU acquis, as well as fulfilling the obligations arising from EU membership.
