Support for the Education of Roma and Egyptian Children through Institutional and Community Cooperation

Marija Gošović, General Director of the Directorate for Gymnasium and Vocational Education, met in Berane with representatives of the Association for Support of Roma and Egyptians Sultan Beća and Nikola Raičević, with whom she discussed the education of Roma and Egyptian children and opportunities to improve their support within the education system. During the meeting, the representatives of the Association presented their previous work, results, and activities carried out in the field, with a special focus on children who regularly attend classes, progress, and successfully complete grades. The importance of equal access to education for every child was emphasized, along with continuous cooperation among institutions, schools, families, and the non-governmental sector to ensure conditions for regular schooling, advancement, and continuation of education for children from the Roma and Egyptian communities. Joint and continuous action is key to achieving tangible results and further improving the position of Roma and Egyptian children in education.
