Dukaj – Demo Meeting: Exchange of Experiences Key for Administrative Reform and European Path

The Minister of Public Administration, Mr. Marash Dukaj, met with the Minister of Internal Affairs of the Republic of Albania, Ervin Dema, to discuss further enhancing cooperation between the two countries, with a special focus on local self-government, European integration, and digitalization. Minister Dukaj congratulated his colleague Dema on assuming his new position and wished him success in performing his responsible duties, expressing confidence that the existing quality cooperation between Montenegro and Albania will be further strengthened through concrete initiatives, exchange of experiences, and good practices. Minister Dema highlighted that he looks with pride at the contribution of Albanian political actors to Montenegro's European path, especially in the context of supporting reform processes and the progress Montenegro is making in closing negotiation chapters. He emphasized the importance of continuing mutual support and cooperation in the European integration process, assessing that the progress of each regional country encourages the region's overall European perspective. Dukaj and Dema agreed that the exchange of knowledge, experiences, and good practices can further contribute to the quality and efficiency of reforms, and that there is room for further improvement of cooperation between the competent institutions of Montenegro and Albania. The meeting confirmed mutual commitment to continuing open dialogue and strengthening good neighborly and partnership relations between Montenegro and the Republic of Albania, based on shared European values and concrete results for the benefit of citizens.
