Enhanced Measures During the Summer Tourist Season: Over 500 Actions Taken Against Foreign Nationals and Legal Entities in Recent Days

Border police officers, in a coordinated operation conducted across the entire country, carried out a full-day action titled "Enhanced Control of Legality of Registration and Deregistration of Stay in Accommodation Facilities for Foreign Nationals in Rural and Border Areas." During the operation, a total of 125 measures were taken due to violations of the Law on Foreigners: 107 misdemeanor orders were issued, three voluntary return decisions were made, and three residence cancellations for up to 90 days were issued. Additionally, lighter measures were implemented, four initiatives for termination of temporary residence were submitted, three forced removal decisions were made, as well as three deportation orders, and one visa cancellation for longer stay (D). In recent days, police officers have taken 518 measures against foreign nationals as part of intensified checks on the legality of their stay and movement in Montenegro. By continuously implementing such activities, the Police Directorate continues to decisively act against all forms of illegal residence of foreigners, strengthen border control, and create a safe and stable security environment for citizens, foreigners, and tourists in Montenegro.
