Podgorica: Three individuals arrested for drug abuse; one found with cultivated marijuana in a greenhouse – firearm with 38 rounds seized from the same person
Officers of the Podgorica Department of Security, conducting planned activities aimed at combating street drug distribution and identifying perpetrators of crimes related to drug abuse, detained two persons on suspicion of committing crimes in the field of drug abuse. During a search of a vegetable greenhouse located on a property behind a family house used by N.N., a cultivated marijuana plant approximately 230 centimeters tall was found. A hunting rifle of the brand "Luigi Franchi" and 38 cartridges for the hunting rifle were also seized from the house; the individual later provided a valid firearm license. The person was detained on suspicion of committing a crime of unauthorized production, possession, and trafficking of narcotics, as it is believed he planted the marijuana plant for the purpose of producing and trafficking this drug. A relative of this person, a citizen of the Republic of Serbia, I.M., identified through criminal investigation and also detained, was reported to the misdemeanor court under the Law on Amendments and Supplements to the Law on Prevention of Drug Abuse, as it was established that a small amount of marijuana found in the house belonged to him. Additionally, police officers from the Podgorica Department of Security conducted a separate check on two individuals found near an elementary school in Podgorica.
