Foreigner: Border Police Made Over 1,700 Measures Against Foreigners in Montenegro in September
Officials of the Border Police Sector, as part of the operational-tactical action "Foreigner," which is continuously implemented, carried out a total of 1,714 measures and actions in September aimed at controlling the movement, stay, and work of foreign nationals in Montenegro, through 58 planned operations, both independently and in cooperation with relevant inspection authorities. During these activities, 204 decisions on the return of foreign nationals, 37 decisions on expulsion, and 130 decisions to cancel stays of up to 90 days were issued, while 64 foreigners were forcibly removed. Additionally, 99 initiatives were submitted to the Ministry of Interior for the termination of temporary residence of foreigners, and 1,103 misdemeanor reports or orders were issued. Eleven decisions imposing milder measures were also made, and 11 foreigners were placed in the Asylum Center for Foreigners. At the same time, 40 foreigners were handed over to the competent authorities of neighboring countries under readmission agreements in expedited procedures. Furthermore, 15 decisions were made to revoke or cancel Montenegrin D-type visas.
