Increased police activities in Ulcinj: Four persons detained, cocaine found, beach bars controlled, and 15 persons without registered residence discovered

Officers of the Ulcinj Police Department, as part of planned and intensified preventive-repressive activities aimed at maintaining a stable security environment during the summer tourist season, carried out operations between the 22nd and 23rd of July. The activities aimed to prevent all forms of crime and misdemeanors, identify perpetrators of criminal acts, control operationally interesting persons, combat drug abuse, monitor the stay of foreign nationals, and enhance overall citizen and tourist safety. Checks revealed that 15 foreign nationals did not have registered residence in Montenegro, and they were handed over to immigration inspectors in Ulcinj for further procedures. During a control of a beach bar, a package containing cocaine was found with A.B., a citizen of Serbia, who was detained for violating drug laws. Simultaneously, traffic police officers conducted an intensified control of road users, checking 45 vehicles and drivers, resulting in 36 sanctions. Three misdemeanour reports were filed, and 33 traffic violations tickets were issued for breaches of road safety laws.
