SBPK: Criminal Complaint Against Two Officials of the Real Estate Administration in Ulcinj Due to Suspicion of Unconscientious Work

Officials from the Sector for Combating Crime – Department for Combating Complex Forms of Economic Crime and Conducting Financial Investigations, Fight Against Corruption, and Environmental Crime, in coordination and at the order of the Basic Public Prosecutor's Office in Ulcinj, filed a complaint. It is suspected that G.S.M., as a public official – a lawyer employed in the Real Estate Administration, Branch Office Ulcinj, acted negligently during 2023 by issuing an illegal decision, which was signed and sealed by the then head of the Real Estate Administration – Branch Office Ulcinj, X.C. It is suspected that based on this decision, without waiting for its finality, the same day a change was made in the land registry and all encumbrances were deleted. It is also suspected that she deliberately withheld the appeal, did not record the appeal in the land registry, nor submitted the case to the competent appellate body for decision, thereby allegedly violating the rights of other persons involved. Officers from the Sector for Combating Crime will continue with intensive activities aimed at discovering and prosecuting all forms of corruption, abuse of official position, and other criminal acts committed by officials of the state and local administration, in order to protect legality, public interest, and strengthen citizens' trust in institutions.
