The Beginning of the Second Phase of the “Quality Education for All Children” Project Marked

Dr Anđela Jakšić-Stojanović, Minister of Education, Science and Innovation, visited the “Vladimir Nazor” public primary school in Podgorica, where she joined Bernar Bruno, a representative of the Delegation of the European Union to Montenegro, and Michele Servadei, Head of the UNICEF Representative Office in Montenegro, to mark the beginning of the second phase of the “Quality Education for All Children” project. The project focuses on improving the quality of education, strengthening inclusiveness, and creating conditions in which every child has equal opportunities to learn and develop their potential. “This is every child’s right and all of our responsibility,” the minister said, thanking the European Commission and UNICEF for their continued support in improving Montenegro’s education system. Discussions with teachers and professional associates addressed challenges in implementing education reform, the upcoming curriculum review, the improvement of digital competencies, socio-emotional learning and student well-being, as well as the need for continuous support for education staff. “We cannot build quality education without empowered teachers, just as we cannot build a fair society without equal educational opportunities for all children,” Jakšić-Stojanović said, emphasizing that schools should be places where every child feels safe, accepted and encouraged to develop their talents. “The goal of the reform should be simple—a better school, more satisfied teachers, and students who know how to think, create and learn for life,” Marković stressed.
