Digital patroling in Bar: 16 drivers sanctioned, including foreign nationals for illegal overtaking and mobile phone use

Traffic police officers from the Bar Department of Security conducted a local intensified traffic control operation with a special focus on the safety of motorcycle riders and other road users. As part of planned activities, a drone was used for aerial traffic surveillance to detect, record, and document the most serious traffic violations. Based on video footage captured by the drone, police identified and sanctioned 16 drivers. Of these, eight were processed for illegal overtaking, and eight for illegal mobile phone use while driving. One driver was also sanctioned for both illegal overtaking and driving under the influence of alcohol. Currently, intensified traffic control activities using drones are ongoing in the Podgorica area, on the Podgorica-Virpazar route, with an emphasis on detecting and sanctioning violations that are common causes of serious traffic accidents.
