Ibrahimović with Canadian Foreign Minister Anita Anand: Two Decades of Diplomatic Relations as a Foundation for New Strengthening of Partnership
The Deputy Prime Minister of Montenegro and Foreign Minister Ervin Ibrahimović met on the sidelines of the NATO summit in Ankara with Canadian Foreign Minister Anita Anand. Ibrahimović emphasized that Montenegro and Canada maintain friendly relations based on shared values and strong alliance within NATO. He pointed out that this year's marking of 20 years since establishing diplomatic relations provides an additional incentive to intensify political dialogue and improve overall bilateral cooperation. He thanked Canada for its continuous support of Montenegro's European integration and highlighted that our country remains a credible ally committed to fulfilling NATO obligations and preserving shared Euro-Atlantic values. He particularly emphasized the importance of joint engagement within the NATO multinational brigade in Latvia, led by Canada, as a confirmation of strong alliance and shared commitment to collective security. Minister Anand thanked Montenegro for its contribution to the NATO multinational brigade mission in Latvia, noting that Canada highly values the engagement of Montenegrin personnel in one of its most significant international military missions.
