Successful presentation of Customs Administration activities on the development of new IT systems

The first presentation of the Customs Administration's activities in the development and implementation of new information systems was successfully held, attended by a large number of representatives from the business community. During the meeting, key information systems that will be part of the modernization process of the customs system and Montenegro's obligations in the EU accession process were presented. Their development and implementation represent an important step in aligning Montenegro's customs system with European standards and are one of the key prerequisites for Montenegro's future membership in the European Union and the EU Customs Union. Business representatives had the opportunity to learn about the next steps and to contribute to the preparation process for the introduction of new systems through questions and discussions. The Customs Administration emphasized that cooperation with the business community will continue during the next phases of implementation, with the aim of ensuring users are timely informed, adequately prepared, and involved in building a modern, efficient, and EU-compatible customs system. The introduction of new information systems is part of a broader modernization process of the Customs Administration and Montenegro's preparations for future EU and EU Customs Union membership, while also creating a more efficient and modern business environment for the community.
