New Equipment Equips Rescue Services for War Demands

A total of 25 modules will enhance the municipal rescue services' capacity for high alert and wartime situations. Delivery of RUHB modules (rescue services under high alert) to 25 rescue organizations across the country is now underway. — This is a concrete strengthening of rescue capabilities during crises and war, and an important step for Sweden's civil defense to handle the most demanding situations, says Patrik Perbeck, Deputy Head of the Civil Defense Department at the Civil Contingencies Agency. The equipment is intended for use by regular rescue personnel and can support efforts such as securing rubble, stretchers, hand tools, pumps, ropes, medical supplies, and warning signs for mines. The delivery of RUHB modules is part of the effort to strengthen civil defense and increase society's ability to handle stresses in serious security situations. Deliveries to other rescue services will proceed gradually throughout the spring, alongside ongoing training of civil conscripts.
