Special Surveillance of Thaumatotibia leucotreta: No Presence Detected in Previous Trap Checks
As part of the special surveillance of Thaumatotibia leucotreta and monitoring of its possible presence in Montenegro, pheromone traps were set up in June at locations in Zeta, Tuzima, Podgorica, and Godinje, and in the first week of July at a distribution center in Podgorica. Traps in Zeta were placed in a pepper crop in Vranj (GPS N42° 19’10.59’’ E19°17’44.66’’) and in Tuzima, Podhum (N 42°18'50.82'' E 19°19'49.81''), in Podgorica at the Lješkopolje location in a vineyard (GPS N 42°25'11.32'' E 19°13'26.33''), in Godinje in a vineyard (GPS N42°13'20.58'' E19°6'11.36''), and in Šušunja in a vineyard (N 42°21'52.14'' E 19°12'12.49''). Monitoring will continue with planned placement of traps in citrus plantations.
