August 18, 2026 – The Security Council Sanctions Committee against ISIL (Da’esh) and Al-Qaeda amends 21 items on its sanctions list

In accordance with Resolution 2610(2021), the Committee has made available on its website a link https://main.un.org/securitycouncil/en/sanctions/1267/aq_sanctions_list/summaries that provides a summarized explanation including the reasons for listing individuals on the sanctions list. The consolidated sanctions list is also updated after all changes related to ISIL and Al-Qaeda https://main.un.org/securitycouncil/en/content/un-sc-consolidated-list. We urge obliged entities under the Law on Prevention of Money Laundering and Terrorist Financing to regularly review these lists to ensure compliance with legal obligations.
