Krapović: "Remembering the heroes of Vučji Dol obliges us to preserve the freedom, honor, and dignity of Montenegro"

President of Montenegro Jakov Milatović, Minister of Defense Dragan Krapović, and Chief of the General Staff of the Montenegrin Army Brigadier General Miodrag Vuksanović laid a wreath at the monument to the heroes of Vučji Dol, paying tribute to participants of one of the most significant battles in Montenegrin history, whose heroism and sacrifice were demonstrated in 1876. "Today at Vučji Dol, we pay tribute to the heroes who achieved one of the greatest victories in Montenegrin history 150 years ago. Their legacy obliges us to protect Montenegro with unity, govern responsibly, and lead the way towards development and European future," said President Jakov Milatović. "Remembering the heroes of Vučji Dol is not only an expression of respect for our history but also a duty to continue nurturing and transmitting the values they defended—freedom, honor, and dignity for the homeland—to future generations. He emphasized that the Ministry of Defense and the Montenegrin Army remain committed to preserving tradition, fostering a culture of remembrance, and promoting the values that form the foundation of Montenegrin sovereignty and identity. Their bravery and determination remain a lasting example for members of the Montenegrin Army and oblige us to perform our tasks honorably and professionally in service to citizens and the state," stated Brigadier General Vuksanović.
