Prime Minister Spajić congratulates Berane Municipality Day
The Prime Minister of Montenegro, Mr. Milojko Spajić, sent his congratulations to the citizens and leadership of Berane on the occasion of its 21st anniversary. He emphasized that this holiday permanently preserves the memory of all the great figures of the Berane region, who, defending freedom, unity, and human dignity, became symbols of progress and inspiration in creating solid values. In his message, Spajić highlighted the record number of joint projects between local and national authorities, as well as unprecedented investments in infrastructure projects related to Berane and the wider northern region. He recalled the complete reconstruction of the main road connecting the two strong northern centers—Bijelo Polje and Berane—and its future role as an access route to the highway, along with more functional connections to Rožaje and Andrijevica. These are just some of the results and long-term investments in partnership with the state and EU funds. Berane has entered a period of the most intense development in recent decades. Spajić expressed confidence that the ambitious and operational local self-government will continue to seize development opportunities and, through cooperation with the government, will finalize key projects vital for further progress. He believes that with shared knowledge, skills, and effort, Montenegro will sustainably harness the enormous resource potential of Berane, the north, and the entire country for the benefit of all citizens, bringing pride and reputation to Europe.
