Danilovgrad: Police found and seized three rifles, including one automatic, during house search; suspect faces criminal charges

Officials from the Danilovgrad Security Department, in coordination with the relevant state prosecutor's office in Podgorica, conducted a search of the house and auxiliary facilities used by V.J. (71) from Danilovgrad, based on a request and consent from the apartment owner. During the search, they found and seized three pieces of weapons, including a magazine with two frames for an automatic rifle and a pistol holster. The seized items, including the magazine, frames, and holster, were handed over to the authorities. The state prosecutor in Podgorica was informed about the event. V.J. provided a statement regarding the circumstances. After reviewing the case files, the prosecutor indicated that V.J.'s actions contain significant elements of the criminal offense of illegal possession and carrying of weapons and explosive materials. The police continue ongoing preventive and repressive activities to combat violence and uncover crimes related to weapon misuse, aiming to reduce crime and ensure a safer environment for citizens.
