Professional Development for Teachers on the Topic "Healthy Lifestyles"

At the Institute for Education, a two-day professional development program was held for teachers on the topic "Healthy Lifestyles," attended by 23 participants from elementary and high schools, mostly physical education and biology teachers. The program is designed for teachers who implement the elective subject "Healthy Lifestyles" in primary and secondary schools, aiming to enhance their capacity to deliver current and relevant content related to students' health and well-being. Through this training, teachers gained additional knowledge and guidelines to incorporate into their teaching, helping students understand the importance of healthy habits, proper nutrition, physical activity, mental and reproductive health, and prevention of smoking, HIV/AIDS, and other risky behaviors. The knowledge acquired not only benefits teachers but is also transferred to students, contributing to their overall development and a healthier attitude towards their own health. Registration for the training was conducted via the new electronic system application "Electronic Portfolio," which allows teachers to apply electronically for professional development programs organized by the Institute for Education.
