Montenegro Representatives Participated in FABCOM Event in Germany

The representative of the Ministry of Health of Montenegro, as a project partner, and the representative of the Ministry of Human and Minority Rights, as a member of the national Stakeholder Team for the FABCOM project in Montenegro, participated in a two-day program dedicated to improving community and family-based support and reducing reliance on institutional forms of protection. During the two-day meeting organized by Pro Arbeit – Kreis Offenbach – AöR, participants from partner regions exchanged experiences on deinstitutionalization and community support models. Through lectures, workshops, and study visits to local institutions and organizations, they had the opportunity to learn about good practices in social and health care, inclusion, rehabilitation, participation, and employment support. For Montenegro, this meeting represents a significant opportunity to learn from European partners and explore possibilities for adapting successful support models to the local context, aiming to develop more accessible, inclusive, and user-oriented services in the community. FABCOM, through interregional knowledge and experience exchange, supports partner regions in improving policies and policy instruments in community and family-based services, respecting the dignity, rights, and choices of users.
