Reception on the Ninth Anniversary of the Foundation for the Western Balkans

The ninth anniversary of the Foundation for the Western Balkans (FZB) was marked with a ceremonial reception. On behalf of Montenegro's chairmanship, the reception was opened by the chargé d'affaires a.i. of the Montenegrin Embassy in Tirana, Vana Đurašević, and gathered representatives of the diplomatic community, institutions and organizations, partners of the Foundation, regional leaders, as well as participants of the Regional Academy on dialogue and the culture of cooperation. The message from Montenegro's chairmanship emphasized that over nine years, the Foundation for the Western Balkans has grown into a recognizable regional platform for connecting civil and public sectors, building trust, and strengthening regional cooperation, which would result in tangible benefits for the citizens of the Western Balkans. It was noted that Montenegro sees regional cooperation as a strategic priority, and that commitment to regional cooperation and European integration is crucial for the protection of societies and the building of a safer and more resilient region. During its chairmanship of the Foundation this year, Montenegro continues to actively advocate for achieving concrete results, increasing the visibility of the Foundation, and improving the principles of regional ownership.
