PU: More than 1,800 inspection controls since the start of the tourist season

Irregularities were found in 286 taxpayers, resulting in 424 misdemeanor orders issued, with a total fine amount of 1,453,650 euros. Under the Misdemeanor Law, 156 offenders accepted responsibility and used the legal option to pay half of the imposed fine, totaling 371,700 euros collected this way. Due to more serious irregularities, a temporary ban on activities was imposed on 28 taxpayers, one of the most restrictive measures prescribed by current legislation. The Tax Administration's control activities are based on risk analysis, focusing primarily on taxpayers with previous irregularities or those suspected of not recording turnover or issuing fiscal receipts. Intensive controls will continue in the upcoming period, with a special focus on activities with increased turnover during the tourist season, including verifying turnover records, issuing fiscal receipts, reporting employees, and complying with tax regulations. The Tax Administration remains committed to improving cooperation with taxpayers and strengthening voluntary compliance with tax laws as the foundation of an efficient and fair tax system.
