European Week for Safety and Health at Work: Together for Employees’ Mental Health

On the occasion of the European Week for Safety and Health at Work, Montenegro is joining a pan-European initiative dedicated to protecting and improving employees’ mental health. As part of the European Agency for Safety and Health at Work’s (EU-OSHA) new three-year campaign, “Together for Mental Health at Work,” Montenegro is marking the European Week for Safety and Health at Work this week. The initiative aims to draw attention to growing psychosocial challenges in the workplace—including stress, burnout, mobbing, and work-life balance—as well as to creating conditions in which employees’ mental health is considered just as important as physical safety. By joining this European network, Montenegro is reaffirming its commitment to implementing modern occupational safety and health standards and creating more humane and safer workplaces for all employees. Mental health at work is neither a luxury nor a secondary issue—it is a fundamental prerequisite for a healthy workforce, sustainable organizations, and a stable society. We call on all employers, social partners, occupational safety and health professionals, employee representatives, and employees to actively engage in promoting this issue during the week and contribute to building a culture of prevention.
