Radunović in Plav: Planning documents must support the development of Plav, not limit its growth
Minister Slaven Radunović today visited Plav with colleagues, where he discussed key issues of spatial planning, legalization, and creating conditions for further development with the Mayor Nihad Canović and local government representatives. The focus was on planning documentation for the Plav area, especially the need to promptly develop the Spatial Plan for the Prokletije National Park and temporary object programs for the area. Radunović assessed that the state of planning documentation in Plav is generally satisfactory, noting that the challenges faced by this municipality are not unique to it but are shared by many smaller local governments. Therefore, it is important to ensure support for local administrations through systemic solutions and the work of the national spatial planning agency to accelerate processes vital for their development. He announced that the Agency will prepare spatial plans for the Biogradska Gora and Skadarsko Lake national parks by the end of the year, and plans for Prokletije, Lovćen, and Durmitor parks will begin next year. After the meeting, representatives visited the site designated for the construction of a promenade by Plav Lake, for which an international competition for the conceptual design will soon be announced.
