Report on the Inspection of Traps and Fruits for Olive Fruit Fly

The inspection of traps for controlling the olive fruit fly population in the areas of Bar and Ulcinj (large olive groves area – Valdanos) was conducted on September 16, 2026. Simultaneously, fruit samples were collected from each site for laboratory examination. The fly population was lower compared to the previous inspection in McPhail traps, especially at the Bar 3 site, while catches on yellow sticky traps remained low or absent. Laboratory analysis of the fruit samples showed active infestation at three sites: Bar 1 - 3.3%, Valdanos 1 - 3.3%, and Valdanos 4 - 10%.
