Bijelo Polje: Search finds rifle, bayonet, and ammunition in illegal possession

Officials from the Bijelo Polje Department of Security, General Crime Suppression Unit, acting on operational information and intelligence gathered through measures within their jurisdiction, initiated a search warrant for the apartment and other premises used by D.J. Based on the submitted proposal, the Basic Court in Bijelo Polje issued a search warrant, which police officers executed by searching the apartment and other premises owned by the individual. Firearms and ammunition found and seized in illegal possession include an M48 rifle, caliber 7.9 mm, with an accompanying bayonet, as well as nine rounds of 7.9 mm caliber and four rounds of 7.62 mm caliber intended for an automatic rifle. The seized weapons and ammunition will be sent to the Forensic Center for analysis, after which, based on the findings and analysis results, all relevant information will be provided to the competent state prosecutor for a final legal assessment.
