Several High-Severity Vulnerabilities Discovered in Node.js
Node.js developers have released security updates addressing several runtime vulnerabilities. The vulnerabilities affect the Node.js 22.x, 24.x, and 26.x release lines. Depending on the specific vulnerability and application configuration, attackers could bypass security checks and access restrictions, cause improper data processing, or remotely execute arbitrary code. The security updates address 10 vulnerabilities, four of which are rated high severity, three medium severity, and three low severity. Node.js versions that have reached end of life may also be exposed to security risks because they no longer receive regular security updates. https://nodejs.org/en/blog/vulnerability/october-2026-security-releases#impact
