AKSK presents in Parliament the main work and developments for the period January–August 2026
Strengthening the legal and regulatory framework – approval of Law no. 51/2026 "On electronic identification, trusted services, and digital identity wallet", aligned with European regulations eIDAS1 and eIDAS2. Simultaneously, the public consultation process for amendments to Law no. 25/2024 "On cybersecurity" has been completed, focusing on strengthening administrative measures, reporting obligations, and cooperation of critical and important infrastructures, as well as fulfilling obligations related to European integration. Regarding European Union integration – AKSK is engaged in Chapters 10, 20, and 31, focusing on defining obligations and responsibilities, cooperation mechanisms, and standardization of cybersecurity and resilience measures. Part of this process is also the work on establishing sectoral CSIRTs.
