First bilateral consultations held between the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Montenegro and the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, European Union, and Cooperation of Spain

The first bilateral consultations between the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Montenegro and the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, European Union, and Cooperation of Spain were held on the 27th. The meeting served as an opportunity to review the progress made in relations between Montenegro and Spain, with a joint assessment that high-level political dialogue provides a strong impetus for further development of overall bilateral cooperation. Both sides expressed satisfaction with the increased contacts in the previous period and confirmed their readiness to further strengthen the partnership through regular visits and continued political dialogue. During the consultations, opinions were exchanged on ways to enhance cooperation in various areas of mutual interest, including the rule of law, economy, tourism, energy, sustainable development, infrastructure, healthcare, education, and culture. The issue of strengthening the legal framework between Montenegro and Spain was also discussed, emphasizing the importance of continuing work on harmonizing and concluding agreements that are in progress, as a vital foundation for deepening bilateral relations. The conversation also covered intensifying cooperation within multilateral and parliamentary diplomacy, with a confirmed willingness to continue coordination and mutual support in international organizations and the exchange of visits between parliamentarians and parliamentary committees.
