Implementation status of the Law on Unified Disability Assessment in focus of the Independent Mechanism session
By establishing the Institute, conditions will be created for a more transparent, fairer, and more functional system focused on users' needs and based on modern human rights standards. During the session, the minister presented activities carried out in the previous period, including the adoption of the Regulation on the methodology of unified disability assessment, the adoption of the Rules on the procedure for submitting and content of requests, the composition and operation of commissions for unified disability assessment, including the formation of the Supervisory Board and appointment of the acting director of the Institute. Unified disability assessment is not just an administrative reform but a change that will enable persons with disabilities to access their rights more fairly, efficiently, and with dignity. We will continue to build a system based on equality, transparency, and inter-institutional cooperation, said Minister Gutić.
