Đurković and Bidik on NATO Exercises in Rapid Deployment Operations

Deputy Chief of the General Staff for Operations, Planning, and Training, Captain Frigate Goran Đurković, met with the Deputy Commander of the NATO Rapid Deployment Corps in Italy (NRDC-ITA), Major General Dominik Bidik, who is visiting Montenegro. The meeting discussed enhancing cooperation between the Montenegrin Army and NRDC-ITA, with a focus on the participation of Montenegrin Army personnel in future NATO rapid deployment exercises, as well as joint planning and activities related to the movement of allied troops across Europe. Captain Frigate Đurković emphasized that the Montenegrin Army remains a committed and reliable NATO ally, ready to contribute to the Alliance's security efforts. He highlighted that participation in NATO exercises and activities that improve joint operational capacities is an important part of developing their capabilities. Major General Bidik underscored NATO's emphasis on the Allied Reaction Force (ARF) and high-readiness forces, especially in the current security environment. He stated that the Montenegrin Army is a dependable partner demonstrating high professionalism and readiness for NATO activities, and that the upcoming NATO ARF exercise “STEADFAST DART” offers an opportunity to further enhance collective deterrence and defense capabilities.
