Live, Don't Rush: Traffic Police in Podgorica Detain 23 Drivers - 18 for Speeding
Traffic police officers from the Podgorica Security Department conducted intensified activities as part of the current campaign by the Ministry of Interior and Police Directorate "Live, Don't Rush!" aimed at preventing traffic accidents, raising driver awareness, and protecting participants' lives, with a special focus on speed control. During these activities, 23 individuals were detained for traffic violations, including 18 for exceeding the speed limit. In Cetinje, alcohol was detected in one person's system at over 2.00 g/kg. One person was detained for refusing a drug test, and another for refusing to stop at a police signal. A total of 34 misdemeanor reports were filed, and 80 violation tickets issued. Police will continue with increased controls, preventive measures, and sanctions under the "Live, Don't Rush!" campaign and other planned activities to protect all road users, save lives, and prevent serious and fatal accidents.
