Kotor Resident Arrested – Over a Kilogram of Marijuana and Cocaine Seized

Officials from the Regional Center for Security 'Jug' – Kotor Security Department, continuing efforts to combat street drug sales and distribution, arrested a Kotor resident last night on the order of the state prosecutor. During the search, over one kilogram of marijuana and cocaine was found in his possession. The marijuana, weighing over 1.1 kilograms, was identified through analysis as dark green plant material. Additionally, a package containing white powder was found, confirmed to be cocaine weighing approximately 53 grams, along with two smaller packages of cocaine. The event was reported to the higher public prosecutor in Podgorica, who ordered the suspect to be detained on suspicion of committing the criminal offense of unauthorized production, possession, and trafficking of narcotics. The suspect will be brought before the competent prosecutor within the legally prescribed period for further proceedings.
