Call for Public Participation in the Public Debate

In accordance with Article 15 of the Regulation on the Selection of Non-Governmental Organization Representatives in the Bodies of the Public Administration and Conducting Public Debates in the Preparation of Laws and Strategies (''Official Gazette of Montenegro'' No. 41/18), the Ministry of Transport invites citizens, the scientific and professional public, non-governmental organizations, and all other interested parties to participate in the public debate and contribute to the review of the Draft Updated Transport Development Strategy 2019-2035. The reason for updating the Transport Development Strategy of Montenegro 2019–2035 is to align the existing strategic framework in the field of transport with Montenegro's new developmental needs, obligations, and requirements of the EU accession process, as well as principles of green, sustainable, and smart mobility, including updates to the transport model, sectoral analyses, and investment priorities. By adopting the updated Strategy, a consistent and long-term sustainable framework for the development of Montenegro's transport system will be ensured, aimed at increasing efficiency, safety, accessibility, and connectivity, with better investment guidance and alignment with EU policies and standards. Interested parties can submit their comments, proposals, and suggestions on the Draft Updated Transport Development Strategy 2019-2035 in written form to the Ministry of Transport at: Rimski trg, number 46, 81000 Podgorica (via the Ministry's archive) or electronically to the email address milos.stanojevic@msa.gov.me during the public debate period. The Ministry of Transport will consider all received comments, objections, and suggestions, after which it will prepare and publish a Report on the conducted public debate on its website within the legally prescribed period (within 15 days after the debate ends).
