Reconstruction Works Completed at “Jagoš Kontić” Primary School in Nikšić

More than €300,000 was invested in renovating the gymnasium, changing rooms and toilets, with the entire amount provided by Montenegro’s Ministry of Education, Science and Innovation. “For the students and staff of Jagoš Kontić Primary School, the completion of these works—giving an important part of the school premises a new look—has precisely this significance,” Minister Jakšić-Stojanović said. However, behind the renovated walls, floors and equipment lies a much more important story: the story of a school that is changing, developing and striving to provide every child with the environment they deserve. Jakšić-Stojanović concluded that, for the Ministry of Education, Science and Innovation, this is not the end of a project, “but also an obligation to define priorities for the coming year today, during the school visit, so that the students of this educational institution receive adequate conditions suited to the needs of the modern age.” “We are talking about children who will grow up in these rooms, learn to win and accept defeat, develop team spirit and create memories that will stay with them far longer than their school days. That is why, for us, this is much more than a successfully completed project—it confirms that our school’s needs are being recognized and that, with support and joint effort, we can make things better. I sincerely thank the Ministry of Education, Science and Innovation and Minister Jakšić-Stojanović for their support, thanks to which our students have received the conditions they deserve,” Petković concluded.
