Free sale of pellets must be guaranteed to all citizens
The Ministry of Agriculture, Forestry, and Water Management has recently received numerous complaints from citizens regarding the sale and availability of pellets on the market, especially packaged pellets. Citizens pointed out various issues they face when purchasing, including refusal to sell packaged pellets, offering only bulk pellets, reserving certain quantities for known buyers, and conditioning purchases in different ways. There were also cases where citizens were conditioned for transportation of pellets or required to transport them exclusively by sellers, with additional charges per ton. The Ministry clearly states that such practices are unacceptable. Sellers are obliged to put pellets on sale under equal conditions, in accordance with regulations governing trade and consumer protection. Inspections will specifically check whether pellets are freely available for sale, whether citizens are conditioned in any way during purchase, and whether regulations on prices and trade are followed. Any violations will result in legally prescribed penalties and other appropriate measures. The Ministry calls on traders and distributors to act responsibly towards citizens and to make pellets available under equal conditions for everyone. The Ministry will do everything within its authority to ensure stable market supply, prevent irregularities, and protect citizens' interests.
