Minister Vladimir Joković visited herders at Latično mountain hut on Golija mountain

Minister of Agriculture, Forestry, and Water Management Vladimir Joković, along with his associates, visited the Latično mountain hut on Golija in the municipality of Nikšić on Saturday, and spoke with herders in the area. During the conversation with farmers, the minister listened to their suggestions, problems, and needs, with a special focus on improving infrastructure and creating better conditions for livestock farming. "This is already the fourth visit to mountain huts and rural areas during the week. We are intensively visiting these areas to see firsthand the conditions in which our producers work and live, assess the state of infrastructure, and hear their specific needs. These areas are extremely important because they have good conditions for livestock farming, and therefore we must support the people engaged in this production and find ways to improve their working conditions," said Minister Joković. The Ministry will continue to seek concrete modalities for infrastructure improvement at mountain huts and support for farmers, in cooperation with local self-government, with the aim of preserving livestock production and creating better living and working conditions in rural areas.
