The EU in Plav: From Local Community to School Desks with a Lecture and Knowledge Quiz

How well do young people know the European Union, its values, and the opportunities that the process of European integration brings? In September in Plav, through an educational program connecting local government representatives and high school students. The first part of the program will be dedicated to representatives of the municipalities of Plav and Gusinje, who will have the opportunity to learn more about the European Union, the accession process of Montenegro, and topics of importance for local communities through a lecture and discussion with the State Secretary of the Ministry of European Affairs, Biljana Papović. Afterwards, at the Bećo Bašić High School in Plav, an interactive quiz titled 'EU in Your School' will be held, allowing students to test and expand their knowledge of the European Union. The quiz will be preceded by a brief introductory lecture on the basic principles, values, and functioning of the EU. The event is organized within the initiative 'Empowering Municipalities for European Action 2026,' implemented by the Ministry of European Affairs with financial support from the European Union through the EU4ME project, in cooperation with the municipalities of Plav and Gusinje.
