The modernization and digitalization of port operations are crucial for Montenegro, Minister of Maritime Affairs Filip Radulović said at a meeting with World Bank representatives. Discussing the implementation of the Port Community System (PCS), which is part of the Trade and Transport Facilitation in the Western Balkans project, Minister Radulović said its application would bring significant benefits. In addition to strengthening the domestic economy, we will achieve better connectivity between the Port of Bar and international transport and trade systems. Our aim is to strengthen the Port of Bar as a regional logistics hub, Radulović said. World Bank representatives recognized the progress made and the importance of the foundations established so far for the project’s further implementation. Given that the upcoming period will be particularly important for the successful implementation of the Port Community System, the next steps were agreed, including intensified cooperation among all institutions involved in carrying out the project.
