IPARD Successful Story: From Construction Engineer to Successful Organic Food Producer and IPARD Beneficiary
Miroslav Medojević from Mojkovac, a civil engineer by profession, is an example of a beneficiary who transformed the potential of his family estate into a foundation for the development of interconnected activities – organic production, processing, and rural tourism. Aiming to further improve the tourist offer and diversify income sources, Miroslav Medojević implemented an investment through the IPARD III Program, Measure 7.1, which supports the development and diversification of activities on agricultural farms. Medojević received funding through this measure for the construction and equipping of a facility, marking a new step in developing his tourist offer and connecting agricultural production with rural tourism. The investment enables the creation of additional value on the farm through rural tourism development, as well as better integration of existing activities – food production, processing, and marketing of local products with the tourist offer. By linking production, processing, tourism, and sustainable investments, the family farm can generate additional income, preserve existing jobs, and offer authentic products based on local resources. Miroslav Medojević’s story demonstrates how a clear vision, personal initiative, and support through the IPARD III Program, Measure 7.1, can be transformed into sustainable farm development and new business opportunities in rural areas.
