Border police discovered and seized two vehicles wanted by Interpol; OIL filed criminal complaint for suspected document falsification

Officers of the Border Police Sector, in two separate incidents in Nikšić and Bar, took measures and actions within their jurisdiction, finding two passenger motor vehicles for which Interpol issued international warrants. One of the persons operating one of the vehicles, an operationally interesting person (OIL), was found to possess a falsified document, leading to criminal proceedings against him with a criminal complaint for document falsification. At the Ilino Brdo border crossing, police officers from the Nikšić Border Police Station checked a Renault Clio driven by A.T. (22), a citizen of Serbia, upon entry into Montenegro. Further checks by NCB Interpol Podgorica confirmed the vehicle has been wanted since March 2025. Additionally, police officers from the Bar and Ulcinj Border Police Stations in Pečurice, Bar municipality, checked an Audi A8 driven by O.Đ. During the inspection, officers suspected that O.Đ. possessed a Slovak residence permit. Further vehicle checks revealed that this vehicle is also wanted via Interpol, and it was seized along with accompanying documentation and handed over to the Bar Department of Security for further action. The competent public prosecutor in the Basic Public Prosecutor's Office in Bar was notified about the incident and ordered proceedings against O.Đ.
