Vuksanoviću presented new SPEAR mortar systems VCG

The Chief of the General Staff of the Army of Montenegro, Brigadier General Miodrag Vuksanović, visited the "Milovan Šaranović" barracks in Danilovgrad to see the new SPEAR 120 mm mortar systems mounted on lightweight tactical JLTV Oshkosh vehicles. During the visit, General Vuksanović reviewed the technical characteristics of the systems, their operational capabilities, and the ongoing process of integrating them into all designated vehicles and the Army's operational use, as well as training activities for personnel. The SPEAR system is a modern 120 mm mortar system integrated onto a vehicle, allowing for faster deployment and withdrawal from firing positions. According to him, the procurement and introduction of these new systems are part of a broader modernization process of the Montenegrin Army, which includes investments in weapons and equipment, infrastructure, logistics, as well as personnel training. He stated that the introduction of this system enhances the Army's indirect fire support capabilities and creates conditions for more efficient connection of fire units with command, observation, and control systems. "Our goal is for the Montenegrin Army to be a modern, mobile, and interoperable armed force capable of responding to national defense requirements and reliably contributing to the collective NATO defense system."
