Ibrahimović and Safadi: First Bilateral Agreements Signed Between Montenegro and Jordan
On the second day of his official visit to the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan, Montenegro’s Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs Ervin Ibrahimović met with Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs Ayman Safadi to discuss further improving bilateral relations and intensifying political dialogue. Ibrahimović thanked Minister Safadi for the invitation to visit Jordan, stressing that it provides an important boost to the further development of friendly relations between the two countries and confirms their mutual readiness to enhance cooperation in areas of common interest. He welcomed the signing of two bilateral agreements: a Memorandum of Understanding between Montenegro’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs and the Jordanian Diplomatic Institute of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Expatriates, and an agreement between the Government of Montenegro and the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan on waiving visa requirements for holders of diplomatic and official passports. In talks with Minister Hijazin, Ibrahimović expressed the expectation that regular low-cost charter flights between Montenegro and Jordan would be established during the upcoming summer tourist season, which would improve air connectivity, facilitate travel for citizens, and encourage more Jordanian tourists to visit Montenegro, as well as Montenegrin citizens to discover Jordan’s tourism potential. He also highlighted the importance of intensifying communication and cooperation among tourism organizations, travel agencies, and other relevant stakeholders in the two countries in order to develop joint tourism packages, exchange experiences, and further promote Montenegro’s and Jordan’s tourism offerings in their respective markets. The interlocutors expressed their readiness to further strengthen cooperation in tourism, recognizing significant scope for improving tourism ties and creating new opportunities to connect citizens and businesses of the two friendly countries.
