Seized tanker with over 25 tons of unreported diesel at the Customs Terminal Podgorica

In recent years, at the Customs Branch Office Terminal Podgorica, a trailer – a tanker with Serbian license plates – was seized. A detailed inspection revealed that the goods transported by this vehicle were not properly covered by a customs declaration, meaning they were not correctly reported to the relevant customs authority. The seized item weighs 25,136 kilograms of diesel, with an estimated value of around 31,300 euros. This case is subject to further investigative actions conducted in cooperation with the competent authorities of the region. Current findings and collected indicators suggest there are grounds to suspect illegal transportation of petroleum products, potentially aimed at smuggling due to current price fluctuations in the oil and petroleum products market.
