Public Call for Participation in the Art Competition

In October, the Ministry of Internal Affairs announces an art competition for elementary school students on the theme: The art competition aims to contribute to raising awareness about the harmful effects of possessing and using weapons, promoting a culture of peace, responsible behavior, and non-violent conflict resolution, as well as improving preventive actions in the field of child and youth safety. • Participation is open to students in grades VII, VIII, and IX of elementary schools in Montenegro; • Each school will form an expert committee that selects only one – the best work at the school level and submits it to the Ministry of Internal Affairs; • Works should be created on B3 format paper (35 cm x 50 cm); • Works should be submitted in an envelope marked 'For the art competition – Colors Against Weapons', with the back of the envelope indicating: school name and address, contact phone number of the authorized school staff/teacher or chairperson of the evaluation committee, student’s name and surname, grade, parent or guardian contact phone, and the art technique used; • Works should be delivered during the competition period to the address: Ministry of Internal Affairs, Svetog Petra Cetinjskog Boulevard, number 22, 81000 Podgorica; • A special expert committee will evaluate the works and select the three best; • For the school of the student whose work wins first place, the Ministry of Internal Affairs will organize a police department training. We invite all elementary schools and students in grades VII, VIII, and IX to join this important competition and help raise awareness among children and youth about the harmful impacts of possessing and using weapons.
