Podgorica: Arrest of a Podgorica resident suspected of drug sale; over 700 grams of marijuana found and seized

Officials from the Podgorica Department of Security identified and detained a person from Podgorica on suspicion of drug distribution, following criminal and operational activities ordered by the Higher State Prosecutor's Office in Podgorica. During the investigation, they found and seized a package containing marijuana. The suspect, who has been involved in procuring and selling marijuana for some time, was taken to the police station for further measures. A search of his residence in the Stari Aerodrom neighborhood uncovered a large plastic bag with approximately 700 grams of marijuana, a glass jar with marijuana, a smaller package of marijuana, a hand-rolled cigarette, and a precision scale. After collecting information and conducting criminal activities, the prosecutor was informed, and the Department of Security in Podgorica continues to work on combating this type of crime to protect public health, especially among youth and children, and to curb drug distribution in Podgorica.
